We May Never Speak Again - Neuralink and The Future | Harison Xavier
Date: 21 December 2020
Introduction
The title may freak you out but it is not that scary. I would like to shed some light about a company named Neuralink founded by Elon Musk. The company specialize on implanting a chip in human brain to help humans perform better.
I wanted to write about this 7 months ago, but Neuralink comes out new upgrades and innovation at a lighting speed. So at the time of this writing Neuralink is still at its infant stage but they have already tested their brain chip successfully on pigs. I am positive and I am waiting patiently to see what the future holds.
The below video explains the highlights of the entire presentation. Do watch the video to know more about Neuralink and their works.

We may never speak again...
When I was a kid I wished if there was a memory card slot on my head, so that I could record all the information that I have learned in my school and recollect it at my exams. I always felt exams was to test my memory and recollection capacity than my knowledge on the subject.
It looks like my wish is becoming a reality. We have a chip that can be implanted on our brain to help us do better. Currently at the time of this writing the chip is only for patients with paraplegia and tetraplegia or neurological damage to the spine and even before that they will need FDA approval to do that. Some day in the future we would be having chips implanted on our brains to help us compete with the technology at that time.
In the future we will need to save our micro seconds from going waste as our competition is never resting. I have heard most successful leaders don't do meetings as they as a waste of time and resources. Imagine if you are running a thousand employee organisation and you are paying them 20 dollars an hour and half of the employees spend 1 to 2 hours in meeting everyday then that is a great loss to your organisation. So there would be a time when people need to talk less and do more.
To transfer information around the organisation, all we need to do is connect the brain chips like a social media profile. You would be sending your thoughts to the person next to you through an electric wave created from your chip. You don't have to speak out loud anymore, this way the information is passed much faster like a computer network.
Yes, I know too futuristic and too crazy. I love crazy ideas.
