Artificial Intelligence : The Sleeping Dragon

Image
If you have read my previous post related to  Artificial Intelligence : Our Future  ,  20 Predictions For The Future  and  20 Predictions For The Future  Part 2 , you will see that I am having a highly positive outlook toward our future. I wrote it that way because I like to see the positive side of things all the time and then examine the negative side. There is always a negative side for everything.    There is a sleeping dragon behind innovations. It is important that we are aware of it and never wake him up. The dragon must not be disturbed or be in the hands of evil.   In this post, I will be diving deep down on the negative sides of artificial intelligence and our future. However I wish that the following will never happen or ...

Be Like Wera : Leadership Lesson From Ryanair Customer Service Manager | Harison Xavier

Image
A Day Of A Ryanair Customer Service Manager I am fortunate to meet Wera, who is a customer service manager at Ryanair in Europe. ( Due to privacy reasons I will not be mentioning the place where this occurred. )   Don't know why but we became good friends in a few days. We talked about our interests, our family, the difference in our culture and so on. One fine day, the topic of our discussion was about work life and she mentioned how tough her day could get and the incidents that happen at her work. Talking to her I could see she is a leader. I asked her to explain about her work in detail so that I could learn few leadership lessons. She replied she is no leader, she just love to help people to her best as possible . The following is our conversation about her day in her job and an incident that happen. The Beginning In her own words : It was an extremely hard day for us, as I have been working for 5 year at the airport I haven't seen such bad weather, the fog covered...

Goat Days (Aadujeevitham) by Benyamin | Harison Xavier

Image
Book Cover   This is not a book review, I want to share what I learned from the book Goat Days  written by Benyamin . I was not interested in novels or stories. Novels had a bad vibe when I was a kid. I have heard elders saying that if you read novels, you will fail in life, they were talking about the weekly magazine novels. Somehow "novel equals failure" got recorded in my mind. So I would mostly concentrate on non fictions.  I came across the book Goat Days "Aadujeevitham" back in 2013, when one of my friend brought it to our room. He told me it is a true story of  life of  a man named Najeeb Muhammed,  emigrant gone to work in Saudi Arabia. Najeeb's dream was to work in the Persian Gulf states and earn enough money to send back home. But, life took a U-turn when he reached Saudi Arabia, he was forced into salve labor by a brutal master  and  the story goes by a series of incidents into a slave like existence herding goats i...

What Is The Purpose Of Education? | Harison Xavier

Image
Introduction                  The following is my thoughts on modern education, why do we learn, why do we go the schools and colleges to get these fancy degree.  What is the real purpose of education in modern time? This was the question put forward by our marketing professor before he began his class for the day. I was really silent to this question as I have to formulate me thoughts correctly before I speak. So one way for me to arrange my though is by writing.  Writing down makes me think. Some day, someone will be reading this, so let me know your thoughts in comments below. One more thing is I must make it short, so that I this is easy and interesting. Teaching is a divine profession  - Harison Xavier The Genesis  The education system we see today was implemented during the industrial revolution. People were send to factories and offices to work and kids were send to school to learn writing, reading, mat...

Hustle And Grind : Part 1 | Harison Xavier

Stubborn - A life Story Of  A Fool       Spetember 20 2020            It was quiet outside, the city is asleep. Warm morning. It was one of the rarest of the rare moments of time when Bangalore is this quiet. There is no long traffic, honking cars, cows  or people outside. Just the dusty streets with few street dogs and garbage men. Few people are on their way out to work, it is a hard time for the daily wage workers. The Corona virus  pandemic    have hit everyone hard. Life is all a struggle for survival for them. Me sitting in my crappy room, waiting for all this to end.  Life was good last year, I have even mentioned it to a few of my close friends before the year ended that this was the happiest year I ever had. I was able to find happiness and peace. Most importantly I had great experiences all year round. I was finally happy about spending all my day alone. I never felt lonely. I was producti...

Image
Preface                                     What you would read is my experience talking to an unknown girl for the first time. I think it is worth sharing. This is a story I shared to few and this was really funny to them. The incident happened was real. I always remember that day. I don't know why but I remember it so well.  Beginning  The weekend is here, I need to get back to the 9th floor office pantry. I work in night shifts all weekdays, I sleep till 7:00 pm even on weekends. I don't want to sleep on weekends at night because it will mess up my next week plans.                  The office pantry is my hideout for the weekend. I don't want to stay with my friends in the apartment. We don't share the same values. We are different. So I have to make this sacrifice. All my weekends I will be here. I don't have much friends in th...
