Jio And Facebook: The New Partnership Game | Harison Xavier
The New Partnership Game
The new partnership game is here. I am so excited! Two powerful forces joins together for a game of champions. Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio and Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook have just joined forces.
Facebook have just bought Rs 43,574 core worth Reliance Jio shares which is up to 9.99%, Facebook is now Reliance's largest minority shareholder.
India's largest telecommunication company and Facebook had their fare share of disagreements before this is the fist time they are coming together.
This would bring in growth to India once we are out of Covid 19 pandemic and once the partnership launches their business.

The Platform
So what do we get when the largest social network and the largest internet provider join hands? It is still early to speculate . Information regarding this is top secret at the moment.
A digital transformation of India this is what we are looking into.
There have been foreign Indian partnership before and there have been successful and unsuccessful once too. However let this be a great opportunity for Reliance and Facebook to grow.
In my humble opinion if they could include local small businesses to their master plan this will help people get better jobs and standard of living. In the news it says, Reliance and Facebook are going to launch an e commerce platform for India to compete against Amazon and Flipkart.

And that's where the game begins, a new business game in real life. Only time can show who is going to win.
For more detailed information how the platform will work and who will exactly benefits will need to wait.
Anyways, very much excited to watch the game. As a marketing student it is going to me a great learning experience.
