God and Me: Do I believe in God?  Do God Exist ?

Introduction

I met someone online recently, she asked me do you believe in God? I said its a very tough question and I will need to explain in so many dimensions, so I better not bore her to death. She insisted, she wants me to explain on what is my though on God. The following is from the chat we had regarding this subject. I encourage you to send me your comments to. I would like to know your views too.

It Starts Like this

Do you believe in God? Are you aware of the present situation in the world (Corona virus pandemic) and the evils of Europe's churches?

The following I will need to explain in few parts. Or even more. I aim would be to explain what I think in most simple words (So that I don't bore you to death).

Brief Intro

Man should learn about his limits. No matter how deep knowledge he have about the world and universe, he still don't have any control over his soul (I mean his death). He still can't bring anyone back from death. (Based on current situations)
I see people suffering due to the pandemic and questioning "Where is God ? ".

My question would be " Where were you all these days? " . I understand people were busy and have lots of thing in their plates to deal with. (I am not trying to offend anyone). But When we loose are trust in God, something else takes its place. God's love is replaced by something else that's not God.  I believe God was searching for you all these day  (By You I mean, people in general) .

My intro is going bit of track. Let me get to the point.

The scientist

For me personally science is a tool to find secrets. Here we are in this earth, living our lives as if we know everything and we control the world and the universe.
Scientists for a long time have been asked the same question. " Is there a God? or Do God exist? " This question must be at least a million years old.

Based on science, the universe began with a big bang.
Cool, now we have a beginning. My question would be what was before big bang? What if God created the Big Bang?

I believe that God was behind the Big Bang. He created it from his word. Let there be a universe, let there be light. let there be darkness, let there be earth , let there be water and land and so it go.

I would also say science is also a way back to God. It's a tool given to humans by God to find all the secrets and find God in the end, like a puzzle. Once we finish acquiring all the knowledge about the universe we will find God, the puzzle is complete.

Part 2

Church

( I am not completely *prepared to answer this at the time of writing ) I am aware of a few cases what happened in churches of Europe. I am sad and embarrassed when I hear these news, the whole world will be throwing stones at Christianity. It's a very sad situation to be in. Since this is a very sensitive topic and I am not at a position to comment of this I should be brief and let the reader know this is just an opinion.

I would like to tackle this from different sides.

I am not trying to defend anyone here. I just putting out my thought for a conversation.

It's very sad, I wonder how could they do evil sitting in the position they are. When I hear negative news like these, I have a burn in my chest and the whole day I will be thinking about it.

Let me begin.

Are all priests good? Are all priest bad?
Christianity was always tortured from the beginning (From Jesus) and it even had evil with it (Judas) . Also It had shown its kindness and charity to the needy.

They have contributed so much to charity , and its not possible to find how much.
In my country, the education systems, orphanages, old age homes and hospitals was brought by the christian missionaries. Without them we still would have been struggling. Let me not go deep into it now.

I see it as the math of 8%. One of 12 disciples of Jesus is Judas and he betrayed him for 30 silver coins.
That is [(1/12) * 100] is 8.333 %.

In current times I see it as 8% of the church all over the world would choose the path of Judas. I am glad that its not 50%.

I have more to say regarding this and it's more personal ,but I must stop here for now.

I would like to have a two way conversation. So I asked her about her views.

Her opinion
Woman With Umbrella on Snow

"The catholic church has indeed done some good things and helped many people. But they don't have anything to do with God. They claim to live after the Bible, in the way of God, but they do exactly the opposite. So there might be a few nice people there, but it's still a bad religion.
The catholic religion was influenced a LOT by Greek religion. A damn lot. It's crazy how much actually."

My Response

That's a very horrible situation as I understand.
however the place I am its different, it's mostly like the 8% math I explained. There are bad once but they are less, money hungry, power hungry, lust hungry.  And the church is aware of these too. What I see here is the church is mostly good and I am proud of it. I am not trying to defend it.

The love, the care we get is divine.
And I do disagree with them a lot too. I don't like teaching which are one way. I would like to sit with them and discuss and ask questions, that's the best way for me to learn. But the chances for that are very minimal.

Also when I face hard situations in life. I do question the same " Do God exist?  " " Is the church right or wrong? "

In hard times. I just stick with the Bible. I could find a lot of my questions answered from the Bible.

I believe you have heard " Hard times never last. " It will pass. It's not here to stay, the sun will rise again. Good times will come soon.
I didn't get a response back. But the conversation will keep going back and fourth.

Conclusion

The above was the conversation we had regarding this topic.  This topic may have  a continuation.
But I can see this topic will never have an end and we could go back and fourth. Everyone have their on version of God and its explanations.
They will go to any extent to explain how they are right and how others are wrong. I am not judging anyone here, this is just life, we are humans and we have our own opinions.

I will end it here for now.
(* I am not prepared for this but it would be a loss if I didn't publish it. )

Thank you.
